CHRIS BARRIE
Guest Announcement update tonight!
Chris Barrie will now be joining us at Bristol 18th March as well as both London Comic Con and Gaming Festival 29/30th April 2023 and East of England Comic Con and Gaming Festival 25th March 2023
Chris Barrie
To his legions of fans across the world, Chris is best known as Rimmer – the Red Dwarf character who made love only once in his life. To others he is Hilary, Angelina Jolie’s butler in Tomb Raider; but to many he will forever be remembered as Gordon Brittas, the most irritating manager in the history of the British leisure centre industry.
Chris has since added more strings to his bow as presenter of Massive Engines, exploring almost every invention in mechanised transport from trains to airships. As the proud owner of several classic cars, motorcycles and trucks, it played perfectly to one of his biggest obsessions.
After moving to London from his native Northern Ireland, Chris started out in the comedy clubs as an impressionist. It wasn’t long before he was picked up by the producers of Spitting Image, and he went on to provide the voices for a stream of characters from HRH Prince Charles to Paul Daniels.
For live audiences, Chris performs after dinner, as a speaker or in cabaret. He also hosts awards and lightens up conferences. It’s not unknown for him to toss the audience a curved ball, particularly in relation to those all-important health & safety issues: “What would you do if faced by a tiger rampaging through your office?”
Chris Barrie is now best known as the hologram Rimmer in the hit series Red Dwarf, as Gordon Brittas in The Brittas Empire (BBC1) and as one of the principal male voice artists on Spitting Image.
Meet Chris at London City Comic Con or Peterborough and learn of his many roles.

DAVID STONE
David Stone

BRISTOL 18TH MARCH
LONDON 30TH APRIL /SUN ONLY
KENT 1ST OCT
BRIGHTON 10TH JUNE

In David's own words : " A scout looking for a German looking best man for Brigitte Bardot's ' Two Weeks in September ' started my journey into films. Numerous school plays and amateur dramatics put me in front. I then found myself auditioning for ' The Stud ' as a " stud " with Joan Collins and Oliver Tobias. Needless to say I was chosen! My character was ' Carl ' and we filmed at Regines nightclub above (Barkers) High Street Kensington. Those were the days!
After that I did numerous parts but one not to forget was in ' Star Wars Episode IV - A New Hope ' as the character ' Wioslea ' who purchased the landspeeder from Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) at Mos Eisley Spaceport and was in the cantina scene also in April 1976 which was much fun and to even be asked to double for Mark Hamill in an X-Wing fighter which was nerve racking but I'm still here to tell the story! I also portrayed an X-Wing pilot in ' Star Wars episode V - The Empire Strikes Back ' and a B-Wing pilot in ' Star Wars Episode VI - Return of the Jedi '.
I also played a policeman in ' Personal Services ' with Julie Walters aka Madam Cyn (Cynthia Payne) - Miss Whiplash. Was a great film! My journey semi ended here as I bought a holiday complex in Devon and devoted my time to that for the years to follow. "
